While we will list a few standard tours below, it must be said that stopping by any travel agency will reveal more tours than this. There are always independent tour companies offering trips into the Sierra Madre mountains, nearby towns and other sites. However, as most of these tours change quite often, it is better for you to get the current list of who is going where from local travel agencies.
City Tour & Harbor Cruise:
Here’s a good way to get an idea of things to do in Mazatlan. Since the city’s highlights are spread out, this tour can save time searching for the main points of interest. Stops include the downtown market, Old Mazatlan, and the waterfront area. Departures daily at 10am and 3pm. Check with the activities desk at your hotel for information. Or take a morning “Fiesta Cruise” around the harbor and see Mazatlan’s bustling harbor while sipping a cool drink. Departures at 11am
Stone Island Tour
Catamaran Elevacion invites you the Stone Island Mazatlan tours adventure. The tour includes 1.5 hours bay cruise, open bar on board, 3.5 hours at Stone Island Beach, delicious lunch at the beach, beach sports and other activities, round trip transportation, bilingual entertainer guide, and lots of fun! You also will enjoy watching the biggest shrimp fleet in Mexico, the highest natural lighthouse of the world, the white rocks and its caves, and the fabulous sea lions (only in winter time).
You can usually walk the short beach on Stone Island and just look for the horses.
